Maybe it was inevitable. A surname like Bazarow aka. BAZR was never destined to produce ordinary work. Some artists colour inside the lines, Nick scribbles outside with intention.
Based in Sydney, Australia, BAZR has spent more than two decades creating art that wanders beyond the expected. With a background in design and creative direction, his abstract paintings blend bold colour, expressive mark-making and fragments of pop culture into layered works that sit somewhere between instinct and intention.
For Nick, art isn't about fitting into a category. It's about creating a world that's a little stranger, a little bolder, and impossible to walk past without looking twice.

Funny how life comes full circle. I started as a kid sketching strange little characters, wandered into graphic design, then spent years art directing major commercial campaigns. In the end, turns out the kid with the pencil knew what he was doing all along.
My influences come from everywhere. Street culture, music, travel,
pop culture, pop icons, old toys, new toys, comic book, great design,
the world's strange and unfamiliar.
